Mike Robinson is the founder of the Global Cannabinoid Research Center in Santa Barbara and the CEO of Nanobles Corporation, a non-cannabis company dedicated to supporting what he calls the Master Regulator - the Endocannabinoid System that quietly coordinates how we feel, heal, and function. 

A survivor of multiple cancers who lived with severe epilepsy, chronic Lyme, PTSD, and hard-to-treat pain, Mike used carefully crafted oils and nanotechnology for more than a decade while documenting outcomes, mentoring patients and clinicians, and building an evidence-anchored approach that blends rigorous observation with compassion-driven care.

Recognized as a High Times 100 honoree and widely regarded as the leading expert on CBGA, he has spent years translating complex cannabinoid science into plain language so families and physicians can make better decisions. 

As the former Director of Communications at the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine, he led large compassion programs that delivered alternative protocols to disadvantaged patients, and his credibility rests on both practice and publication - he is a researcher, journalist, and internationally cited specialist who treats data and people with equal respect.

Mike’s advocacy started long before his lab notes. As a former registered civil-rights lobbyist and non-attorney advocate, he represented disabled children pro bono nationwide for more than two decades, served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters, founded nonprofits for kids with special needs, and eventually adopted Genevieve - a child with Severe Autism and Epilepsy from his own cannabis compassion program - whose journey inspired Genevieve’s Dream CBGa and a more profound commitment to family-first science.

Innovation remains his daily work. He originated the concept of ECS Balance Control and leads Nanobles in developing botanically driven technologies that support endogenous balance. At the same time, GCRC advances cannabinoid medicine and pharmaceutical R&D for the corporation he leads.

He is also the designer of Plant Chat by Nanobles - a research-grade educational platform centered on plant growth, use, and the Master Regulator. He continues to turn lived experience into practical tools that protect balance, restore dignity, and keep patient-first science moving forward.
